Cindy Nobile Geertsema began obedience training in the late 70's by putting
an obedience title of Companion Dog (CD) on a Dalmatian, and then on a Collie. She was also showing a couple
of Collies in Conformation when the demands of motherhood forced her to hang up her "show leads".
When her daughter, Jeanette Lamphere, was around 12 she started asking for
a dog, but she didn't want just any dog, it had to be a Siberian. One of the neighbors had a Siberian that she fell
in love with. She would go to visit the dog every day. Sometimes she'd take the dog for walks, other times she'd
just sit in the yard and talk to the dog.
Cindy knew that neither of them would be happy to have a pet quality
Siberian, it would have to be show quality. She would have to find the right dog for Jeanette, so they went to Pat
Tetrault of Stoli Siberians. Pat didn't have anything at that moment, but referred us to Jean Buscaglia who was
expecting a litter in about 2 weeks.
On February 14, 1998 the future AM/CAN Ch. Corizma's Kapuccino of Micast,
CGC (Kapuga) came home with us. She was just 8 weeks old, and ball of Siberian energy.
It wasn't long before Cindy realized that she was also very enamoured with
this little little gal. A year later they got future Ch. Rockland's The Iceman Cometh, CGC (Jason) from Michele
Szczepanski & Rose Bucci.
Cindy and Jeanette were fortunate to have mentors such as Jean Buscaglia,
Michele Szczepanski, Rose Bucci, Pat Tetrault, Mindy and Linda Lehman, Sylvia Roselli, Mike Marion and Irwin Linker.
They are truly greatful for all the friends they've come to know and love over the years.
